Uclue Researcher Request for clarification by Researcher davidsarokin on Wed 18 Mar 2009 - 12:45 pm UTC:

jseally,

I haven't been able to pinpoint the maker of the table, but it is still
possible to order one for purchase.

Is that of interest to you?

Question clarification by jseally on Wed 18 Mar 2009 - 12:52 pm UTC:

Hi,
not really. Because I'm not in the US and the table isn't made in the US, I
wanted to buy direct.
thanks!

Uclue Researcher Comment by Researcher byrd on Thu 19 Mar 2009 - 4:24 pm UTC:

Hi Jseally,

Why do you say so definitely that "the table isn't made in the US?" I could
find nothing on the page or site about the origins of that table, other
than the description saying it had an "Old World Finish," which doesn't
really say anything about where it was manufactured, being merely a
description of the appearance. Did you notice such a reference to place of
origin or do you have any other personal knowledge about that? If so, it
could be very helpful for you to share that and anything else you know that
might help a researcher run down the manufacturer.

Thanks,

Byrd

This is a handcrafted one-off product. Even if you could trace the
individual craftsperson, you would need to place a specific order with
them, and allow for the time taken for such a large handcrafted item.

Antique Purveyors can be contacted at (201) 936-4340

The items they sell seem to be beautiful reproductions of old designs, not
genuine antiques as such.
