Please listen to this English-language preview:

Is this "Si Vedra", the song that you're asking about?

Never mind... I found the correct version (but not the lyrics).

I'll let you know if something turns up.

Nope! There is indeed a French version of the Dusty Springfield Song Called "A PresentTu Peux T'en Aller"

  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jdwylEgXy4

I understand the transalation of the French to english for the french version is actually quite differennt from the Song that Dusty sings

Anyway for "Si Vedra"  this might help

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAP86pdj-tg

I think this is Italian.  There is also a French version "tu verras"

not to be confused with "Tu verras tu verras" which is a totally doffernt song

daleks,

Unfortunately, I was only able to find the lyrics.

"Le Printemps sur la colline" as sung by "Les Surfs":
http://www.paroles-musique.com/paroles-Les_Surfs-Le_Printemps_Sur_La_Colline-lyrics,p82285

and, in an apparently shortened version, the Italian lyrics of "Si vedrà":
http://www.eremon.it/artistsAndLyrics/lyric-Les+Surf+%26+Vittorio+Inzaina-Si+vedr%C3%A0_465411 (with the Les Surfs following Vittorio Inzaina)
and
http://wikitesti.com/index.php/Si_vedr%C3%A0

Some missing lines of "Si vedrà" are to be found on this page:
http://forum.cosenascoste.com/meditazione-consapevolezza-e-risveglio/61003-la-definizione-del-cantante.html

I haven't succeeded in finding an English language translation (or artists singing English versions), but the following two links would be the respective translations according to Google:

http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=fr&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.paroles-musique.com%2Fparoles-Les_Surfs-Le_Printemps_Sur_La_Colline-lyrics%2Cp82285

and

http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=it&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eremon.it%2FartistsAndLyrics%2Flyric-Les%2BSurf%2B%2526%2BVittorio%2BInzaina-Si%2Bvedr%25C3%25A0_465411

as well as

http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=it&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.cosenascoste.com%2Fmeditazione-consapevolezza-e-risveglio%2F61003-la-definizione-del-cantante.html

Would this Google translation be helpful?

Regards,
q21

That should have been "(with Les Surfs following Vittorio Inzaina)", i.e. not "with the Les".

Hello daleks,

I've translated these for you, and added a few notes at the end. There doesn't seem to be anyone singing these songs in English, as q21 also found.

SI VEDRÀ  -  YOU'LL SEE

You'll see if far away from me you'll be able to find that love you don't want from me.
You'll see if there's someone in the world who can love you like I do.
You'll see if you'll be able to give me up.
I already know that you'll have to come back again.
I stay alone....alone waiting for you.

Finding love is not easy,
And with me you already had love.
But now you can't understand.
You don't want to be with me.

You'll see if far away from me you'll be able to find that love you don't want from me.
You'll see....Time, I know, will prove me right.

Finding love is not easy,
And with me you already had love.
But now you can't understand.
You don't want to be with me.

You'll see if far from me you'll be able to find that love you don't want from me.
You'll see....Time, I know, will prove me right... me.... me

PRINTEMPS SUR LA COLLINE  -  SPRINGTIME ON THE HILL

Listen, listen, springtime on the hill is calling you, and blends its cheerfulness with my distress.

Time goes by
And the months pass.
For a year I've been hoping
That you'll come back to take your place
There where our hearts once used to live.

My days drag,
My nights stretch out,
And my pain is deep.
Where are our dreams?
Where is our laughter?
Without you,
Who is at the ends of the earth?

Listen, listen, springtime on the hill is calling you, and blends its cheerfulness with my distress.
I love you, I love you, springtime on the hill is waiting for you. Come
So that our happiness can be reborn
For there are no beautiful days without love.

How many months and weeks
Must I still wait
For destiny to bring you back,
Reducing my sorrows to ashes?

You are my luck, you are my flame,
The power that guides me.
Come back to me quickly, come back my soul,
Without you home seems empty.

Listen, listen, springtime on the hill is calling you, and blends its cheerfulness with my distress.
I love you, I love you, springtime on the hill is waiting for you. Come
So that our happiness can be reborn
For there are no beautiful days without love.

Notes
=====

On YouTube there's one difference between the Surfs' and Dalida's versions, affecting the meaning of "Without you, Who is at the ends of the earth?" Dalida goes for "Without you who are at the ends of the earth."

"Si vedrà" can also mean "we'll see", or "it remains to be seen" but I chose "you'll see", partly because that's the meaning of the French title, "Tu verras".
With "Si vedrà" the lyrics posted online have a few differences from the versions sung by Les Surfs and Vittorio Inzaina. However, these two (both on YouTube) are similar to one another.

Please let me know if you need any more information about this.

I translated from Les Surfs.

For the record, these are the lyrics I used:

SI VEDRÀ

Si vedrà se lontano da me potrai
incontrar quell'amor che da me non vuoi.
Si vedrà se c'è al mondo chi puoi come me amarti così.

Si vedrà se potrai rinunciare a me,
Io so già che dovrai ritornare ancor.

ragione darà a me.

ragione darà a me... a me... a me

Depuis un an j'espère

Tu es ma chance, tu es ma flamme,

Hello Leli. Thank you for your wonderful and detailed answer. I guess this must have kept you a little bit busy over the weekend. Finally i know what these two songs are about.

I have many questions but these can wait. I have however one comment. I was fascinated by q21's attempt to run them through the Google translator.

Just think if we had this facility back in the sixties , then we could have songs from artists like Dalida, anthony Richard, wilma Gouich , Vittorio Inzaina and of course les surfs run thrugh the translator so Tom Jones, Cill Black, Sandy Shaw, Lulu etc could strutt them in English...Just Kidding

Hello daleks

Thank you for your kind message and tip. You're right, Google Translate would definitely have changed the sixties, but I'm not sure it would have produced great songs! It's useful for getting a general idea of what something's about, but it makes weird mistakes too.

Leli
